The case offers another piece of good news: even though the child pornography website sought to hide from authorities by lurking on the dark web and by conducting all transactions in Bitcoin, law enforcement was still able to arrest people involved. The tech conglomerates have an opportunity to freely help police and prosecutors stop the victimization of countless children around the world. They should set the gold standard for how all internet companies respond to the scourge of online child pornography or risk financial consequences.
